Prince GaMes was too young to ride a real horse so Duke WooDen Toys had the Wood Workers Guild 001 build two toy wood horses, one for Prince GaMes and one for his cousin Prince Othr.  The boys enjoyed their handcrafted wooden horses, but the horses did not move.   

The Wood Workers Guild put their thinking caps on and came up with the idea of putting some old wooden barrel staves on the bottom of the legs of the wooden toy horses.

Whopeee the boys yelled when they rode their new unique handcrafted wooden toys. Now they could joust each other and move towards and away from the “enemy”.

That is how the toy wood rocking horse was born in the Dukedom of Toys, hamlet of Wooden. These handmade wooden toys became the boys favorite exercise machines.

DUKE WooDen Toys had the Wood Workers Guild 001 build enough of these new wooden rocking horses to give one to each child in the Dukedom so that the children could use their wooden rocking horse as an exercise machine in their homes. These traditional rocking horses passed from sibling to sibling in each family. Many of the wood rocking horses lasted over 20 years before being retired to the rocking horse farm.

Each summer many of the children would gather at Duke WooDen Toys rocking horse farm and hold jousting competitions.
